How We Source Our Products

We work directly with manufacturers who meet Australian compliance requirements. Every product in our range comes with proper certification, verified specifications, and realistic performance claims. No inflated wear ratings. No vague "commercial grade" labels without the data to back it up.

Our hybrid flooring meets or exceeds AS/NZS ISO 10582 standards for resilient floor coverings. Our engineered timber products comply with AS/NZS 2796 guidelines for timber flooring quality.

Why This Matters for Your Purchase

Flooring is a long-term investment. The difference between a quality product and a cheap import often isn't visible until two years in - when the wear layer fails, the click-lock joints loosen, or the core starts swelling.

Our Experience in the Industry

We've supplied flooring for hundreds of residential renovations and commercial fitouts across Australia. Our team understands subfloor preparation, moisture management, transition detailing, and the real-world issues that come up during installation. When you call us with a question, you're talking to people who actually know flooring - not a generic call centre.

Independent Reviews Back It Up

Our 120+ five-star reviews aren't paid placements. They're from real customers who received their flooring, installed it, and took the time to share their experience. We encourage you to read them!

Real timber style, built for everyday living. Our hybrid flooring delivers a natural plank look with a rigid SPC core that’s made to handle busy Aussie homes.

Hybrid flooring (often called SPC hybrid flooring) is a smart pick when you want a timber-look floor that’s tough, stable, and low-fuss. It’s ideal for high-use areas like living rooms, hallways, and kitchens—especially if you’ve got kids, pets, or constant foot traffic.

To get hybrid flooring right, focus on the things that actually matter: a solid locking system (tight joins), a quality wear layer (daily protection), and a finish that looks convincing in real lighting (not just in product photos). And while hybrid handles day-to-day spills well, the simple rule is still: wipe up water quickly and don’t let it sit in joins.

    Your Hybrid Flooring FAQ's

Here are answers to some of the most common questions about our hybrid flooring products. If you still can’t find what you’re looking for, just reach out to our team here.

    Is hybrid flooring water-resistant?

Most hybrid flooring is water-resistant, not magically waterproof in every situation. A lot of brands these days claim “100% waterproof” – that’s only partly true and really just refers to spills on the top of the board.

Surface moisture (spills, mopping, wet shoes) is fine as long as it’s wiped or mopped up reasonably quickly. The real problem is moisture coming from underneath – a damp slab, leaks, or constant moisture under the boards can cause issues over time.

Good hybrid products use a moisture-resistant IXPE underlay to help protect against this. Cheaper brands often skip this or use low-grade backing, which is why you see warping, peaking and bubbling when moisture shows up.

Our hybrid range is water-resistant with an IXPE backing, so it’s about as water-resistant as hybrid flooring gets – as long as it’s installed on a dry, sound subfloor and basic common sense around moisture is followed.

    Does hybrid flooring scratch?

Hybrid flooring is built to be tough. The wear layer on top is designed to handle everyday life – kids, pets, guests, and regular foot traffic – without looking wrecked after a year.

That said, no floor is completely scratch-proof. If you drag a metal chair leg, a sharp stone, or a knife across it, it will mark. The goal with hybrid is high scratch resistance, not invincibility.

A few simple habits will keep it looking new for longer:

Lift, don’t drag furniture (use felt pads under legs where you can).

Keep pet nails trimmed so they don’t constantly scuff the surface.

Avoid harsh tools like wire brushes, steel wool, or super-abrasive pads.

Use mats at entry points to catch stones, dirt and grit before it gets dragged through the house.

Clean regularly with a soft broom or vacuum (hard floor head) and a damp mop.

Overall, good-quality hybrid flooring is very scratch-resistant and durable for everyday use. Treated with a bit of common sense, it will hold up extremely well and stay looking sharp for years.

Does your hybrid flooring come with warranty?

Yes. Our hybrid flooring range is covered by a 20-year residential warranty, a 3-year commercial warranty, and a lifetime structural warranty on the core of the board.

This warranty covers manufacturing and structural defects in the hybrid flooring when it’s installed and maintained correctly in suitable areas. In simple terms: if your hybrid boards fail because of a product fault (not water damage, misuse, or poor installation), you’re covered.

Whether it’s for a home or a light commercial project, you can choose our hybrid flooring knowing it’s backed for the long term – including the structural core of each board for the lifetime of the floor.

Does your SPC hybrid flooring contain silica?

No. We can proudly say our SPC hybrid flooring range contains 0% silica.

That means when you’re cutting and installing our boards, you’re not filling your home (or lungs) with harmful crystalline silica dust.

Here’s what that actually means in plain English:

What is silica dust in SPC flooring?

Silica dust is a very fine airborne dust created when cutting or grinding materials that contain crystalline silica – which many SPC (stone plastic composite) floors do. Once it’s in the air, you can easily breathe it in without realising.

Why is silica dust a problem?

Breathing in silica dust over time can lead to serious, life-threatening lung disease. Think of it as the modern version of asbestos – tiny particles that sit in the lungs and cause permanent damage. It’s a big deal in construction and manufacturing.

What’s different about our hybrid flooring?

Our SPC hybrid range is formulated to contain 0% silica, which means:

No silica dust released when cutting the boards

No toxic residue left in your home after installation

Much safer for DIY installs and for trades who are cutting boards all day

So if you’re looking for a hybrid floor that’s tough, good-looking, and safer to work with, our 0% silica SPC range is built exactly for that.

Can I install hybrid over existing tiles?

Yes, you can install hybrid flooring over existing tiles, as long as the tiles and subfloor are suitable.

Hybrid is a floating floor, so in theory it can sit on top of most hard surfaces. The important part isn’t that it’s tiles, it’s that the surface underneath is flat, clean, dry, and stable. The tiles should be level with no obvious lips or raised edges. If there are high spots, lippage, or dips between tiles, they should be ground down or filled before installation. All tiles also need to be firmly stuck down. If you tap and hear hollow spots, or any tiles are loose or crumbling, that needs to be fixed first. Hybrid flooring over a moving or unstable surface will cause problems later.

The tiled floor must be cleaned properly so there’s no dust, grease, glue, or silicone left on the surface. The subfloor should be dry, with no moisture issues coming through the slab.

Grout joints are the last thing to think about. If the grout lines are shallow and fairly narrow, hybrid will usually go straight over the top and feel fine underfoot. If the grout joints are wide or deep, you might feel a slight pattern underfoot where the joints are. It’s not usually a structural problem, but if you want a perfectly smooth, “new slab” feel, it’s better to do a skim coat or flood coat over the tiles first to level everything out before laying the hybrid.

In short, hybrid over tiles is completely fine, but only if the tiles are flat, solid, clean, and dry. Spending a bit of time on prep will make a big difference to how professional the finished floor looks and feels.

What’s the difference between SPC and WPC?

SPC and WPC are both types of hybrid flooring, but the core inside each board is different, and that’s what changes how they feel and perform.

SPC stands for Stone Plastic Composite. It has a very dense, rigid core made from limestone and PVC. Because of that density, SPC handles heavy traffic, furniture, and temperature swings really well. It’s more stable, less likely to move, and generally better in areas that cop a lot of use – kitchens, hallways, living areas, rentals, and light commercial spaces. The trade-off is that it feels a bit firmer and harder underfoot, and can sound a little sharper without a good underlay.

WPC stands for Wood Plastic Composite. The core is a foamed, lighter mix that includes wood or wood-like fibres. It’s still water-resistant, but not as dense as SPC. That makes it slightly softer and warmer underfoot, and a bit quieter, which some people like in bedrooms and lounge rooms. The downside is that it’s not quite as tough against dents and heavy point loads, and it can be a little less stable in extreme temperature changes.

In simple terms: SPC is the tougher, more rigid option that’s built for stability and abuse. WPC is more about comfort and a softer feel underfoot.

    Is hybrid flooring good?

Hybrid flooring has come a long way in the last few years. With new technology and better manufacturing, hybrid flooring has quickly become one of the number one flooring options for modern homes and renovations. It gives you the timber look without the price tag and without the headaches that come with traditional timber or tiles.

Hybrid flooring is affordable, easy to install, and perfect when you need speed on a project. Because it’s a floating floor with a click-lock system, hybrid flooring can go down quickly with minimal tools and mess, which is why a lot of DIY renovators and builders are choosing it. Once it’s installed, good hybrid flooring is durable, scratch-resistant, and water-resistant, making it a strong option for busy family homes, pets, and high-traffic areas.

On top of that, quality hybrid flooring comes with long warranties, often around 20 years for residential use, so you’re not just getting something that looks good for a year and then gives up. The boards are designed to have a very realistic timber look, with detailed grain and texture, so you still get that warm, natural feel in the room. Put simply, hybrid flooring gives you the right mix of price, performance, and appearance, which is why it’s become such a popular choice.

    What colours are most popular?

Warm Australian species (Blackbutt, Spotted Gum) and versatile oaks are favourites. If you’re unsure, browse Greys, Darks or Lights and order free samples.
