What it does
Scotia is a thin strip that sits at the bottom of your walls. Floating floors need a small gap around the edge of the room, so the boards can grow and shrink a little when it gets hot or cold. Scotia covers that gap so the room looks neat. You don't need to pull off your skirting boards.

New England Blackbutt Scotia is the colour-matched finishing trim for New England Blackbutt SPC Hybrid Floorboards, a warm honey Australian blackbutt look. It covers the expansion gap where your floating floor meets the skirting, giving you a clean line around every room without removing and repainting skirting boards.

How many pieces do I need?
Measure the wall lengths that need trim in metres, divide by 2.4 and round up. Example: 18 lineal metres ÷ 2.4 = 7.5, so order 8 pieces, plus one spare for mitre offcuts in corners.
Fitting notes
- Fix to the skirting with flexible construction adhesive. Never pin it through the floor, which must stay floating.
- Cut corners at 45° with a mitre box or drop saw
