SUNSHINE COAST DELIVERY [FROM OUR BRISBANE WAREHOUSE]
Hybrid flooring Sunshine Coast — made for the climate.
THE MECHANISM [01]
Beach humidity, hinterland heat. One core handles both.
The Sunshine Coast asks two different things of a floor.
By the water — Mooloolaba, Caloundra, Noosa — humidity sits high for months and salt rides the breeze. Up the range in Maleny and Montville, summer heat gives way to genuinely cold winter mornings. Timber moves in both; laminate struggles with the moisture.
Every board we stock is built on a rigid SPC stone-composite core that does not absorb moisture and does not expand or contract with temperature swings. Water sits on it, not in it. The boards float over slabs and most existing tiles, and our SPC range is 0% crystalline silica — so cutting boards does not fill your home with hazardous dust.

HYBRID FLOORING SUNSHINE COAST [FAQS]
Questions Sunshine Coast buyers ask us
Is hybrid flooring right for the Sunshine Coast climate?
It is the floor we recommend first here, and the reason is the core. The Coast asks two different things of a floor: by the water, humidity sits high for months and salt rides every breeze; up the range, hot summers turn into genuinely cold winter mornings. Timber moves in both conditions and laminate struggles with the moisture. The SPC core in our boards is limestone and PVC — it does not absorb moisture from the air and it does not expand or contract with temperature, so the same floor performs in a Mooloolaba apartment and a Maleny hinterland home. That stability is the whole point of hybrid.
Is hybrid flooring waterproof?
You will see "100% waterproof" shouted everywhere — we choose our words more carefully. Our hybrid flooring is 100% water resistant: the stone-composite core does not absorb water, so spills, wet feet from the pool, pet bowls and mopping do nothing to it. What no floating floor can promise is protection from water rising from underneath — a slab leak needs fixing at the source, whatever floor you own. That is the honest version, and it is why hybrid is the default for Coast kitchens, laundries and open-plan living.
How much does hybrid flooring cost on the Sunshine Coast?
The same as it costs everywhere on our site — that is the point of publishing prices. Entry 6.5mm hybrid runs around $35–43 per square metre including GST; premium 9.5mm and herringbone sit roughly $52–58. Every product page shows the price per square metre and per box, no quote forms. Delivery rides our weekly Sunshine Coast runs and is priced at checkout, or Brisbane click & collect is free. Professional installation typically adds roughly $25–40 per square metre depending on floor prep — and the calculator turns your room sizes into a box count in two minutes.
How fast is delivery to the Sunshine Coast?
We dispatch within 1–2 business days from our Brisbane warehouse, and Sunshine Coast deliveries run weekly — most orders land within the week. Boards arrive on a pallet to your driveway or garage, from Caloundra up to Noosa and through the hinterland. Working to a builder's schedule or a settlement date? Tell us when you order and we will do our best to line the run up with your date.
Is hybrid flooring good for Noosa holiday rentals?
It has quietly become the standard for them. A Noosa holiday let cops more traffic in one season than most family homes see in years — suitcases, sandy feet, guests who treat the floor like a beach path. Hybrid handles that with a scratch-resistant wear layer, a core that ignores spilled drinks and wet swimwear, and click-lock boards that can be individually replaced if a guest manages something heroic. Pale coastal tones photograph beautifully for listings too. Managing multiple properties? Ask us about quantities — one batch across several units keeps colour consistent for future repairs.
Can I lay hybrid over my existing tiles?
Usually, yes. Hybrid floats over existing tiles without glue or demolition — no jackhammer, no dust through the house, a day less labour. The conditions: tiles need to be flat, firmly stuck down, clean and dry. Tap for drummy or loose tiles and fix those first, and wide grout lines may want a skim coat for a perfectly smooth feel underfoot. Our over-tiles guide walks through the whole check.
Is your SPC hybrid flooring really silica-free?
Yes — 0% crystalline silica across our SPC range. Many stone-composite floors use silica-bearing fillers in the core; the board is harmless on your floor, but the fine dust released when boards are cut is linked to silicosis, a serious and irreversible lung disease. Our range is formulated without crystalline silica, so cutting boards in the garage or on site does not put that dust into the air your family or your installer breathes. Still cut outdoors and wear a P2 mask — but start from a board that is safe by design.
Can I get samples before ordering?
Yes — and coastal light makes this step matter more than most places. Order up to 3 free sample boxes (you just cover shipping) and check them in your actual rooms: bright morning sun, midday glare, lamplight at night. A board that looks neutral in a showroom can pull yellow against Sunshine Coast light. Click two pieces together while you are at it and feel the locking system engage — that small test tells you more about quality than any brochure.
