The PVC base channel is the fixing track that our reducers and 6.5mm T-mouldings click into. Screw or glue the channel to the subfloor before the floor goes down, lay both floors up to it, then snap the top trim in — the trim holds firm without pinning your floating floor.

How many do I need?

One base channel per length of reducer or T-moulding — order them 1:1 and cut both to the same doorway width.

Fitting notes

Fix to the subfloor only — never through the floorboards, which must stay floating
Keep the floor's expansion gap clear on both sides of the channel
