The 2.5mm is a slimmer, more budget-friendly board with the same 0.5mm wear layer; the 4.5mm is thicker, feels more solid underfoot and is more forgiving over imperfect subfloors. Both are 100% water resistant and glue-down.
Is 2.5mm vinyl durable?
Yes — durability comes mostly from the wear layer, and this keeps the full 0.5mm commercial-grade layer, so it wears like a much dearer floor.
