Sandlight sits a touch warmer than a true pale floor — a soft, sun-bleached sand tone that makes the classic herringbone pattern feel calm, airy and quietly contemporary. It is the middle ground a lot of people are after: brighter and more open than a mid-oak, but warmer and easier to live with than a stark grey or white-wash, and it softens harder elements like concrete, black steel and stone.

Where it works best. As 100% waterproof luxury vinyl, Sandlight goes anywhere — living areas and hallways where the herringbone makes a feature underfoot, and the kitchens and laundries where engineered-timber herringbone simply cannot. Its warm-neutral tone is forgiving with both cool and warm decor.

Built to be lived on, made in Korea. Each plank is 4.5mm thick with a 0.5mm commercial-grade wear layer, P3 slip-rated and AAAC 4-Star for acoustic comfort. It is made in South Korea — home to some of the world's most respected luxury-vinyl makers — which means accurate grain printing and good dimensional stability, and it carries a lifetime residential / 15-year commercial warranty.

Glue-down installation. Like all our herringbone, Sandlight is glued to the subfloor to keep the pattern tight, flat and silent. A capable DIYer can tackle it on a flat, dry subfloor, but the angled layout rewards patience — dry-lay from the centre, use a notched trowel, and budget around 10% extra for cuts. Big or commercial spaces are best left to a pro.

Too light for a busy home? Not at all — the warm sand tone hides everyday dust and crumbs better than a stark white floor, and the tough wear layer handles kids and pets. What rooms suit it? Almost any — especially open-plan living, hallways and bedrooms where you want light and warmth together.
