Sandlight Herringbone: a warm, light-filled sand tone
Sandlight sits a touch warmer than a true pale floor — a soft, sun-bleached sand tone that makes the classic herringbone pattern feel calm, airy and quietly contemporary. It is the middle ground a lot of people are after: brighter and more open than a mid-oak, but warmer and easier to live with than a stark grey or white-wash. It works beautifully in light-filled, minimal interiors and softens harder elements like concrete, black steel and stone.

As 100% water resistant luxury vinyl, Sandlight goes anywhere — living areas and hallways where the herringbone makes a real feature underfoot, and kitchens and laundries where engineered-timber herringbone simply cannot. Like all our herringbone, Sandlight is a glue-down floor: bonding each plank to the subfloor is what keeps the pattern tight, flat and silent over the years. A capable DIYer can tackle it on a flat, dry subfloor, but the angled layout rewards patience — dry-lay from the centre first, use a notched trowel, and budget around 10% extra material for cuts. Big or commercial spaces are best left to a pro.

Fire-test reference: the displayed result follows the dedicated Premium Herringbone AWTA report 25-001022: CHF 9.3 kW/m² and smoke 119 %.min. The supplier's specification sheet lists CHF 9.4 kW/m² and smoke 138 %.min.
Slip-test document: ArtiFloor specifies P3 for Premium Herringbone, but the slip-report link supplied for this range opens a Timberland 2.5 report. It is labelled accordingly in the downloads and is not a herringbone-specific test report.

This is the board's full height. Use it to plan neat joins with nearby floors and check that doors can still open. For comfort and quieter footsteps, compare the underlay and acoustic rating as well as board thickness.

Each plank is 91.44 cm long and 15.24 cm wide. Longer, wider planks mean fewer joins across the room. Mark these measurements on your floor to picture the layout.
- Coverage per box
- 1.67 m²
This is the floor area that one full box covers. One square metre is a square 1 metre long and 1 metre wide. Allow extra for cuts, then round up to whole boxes. The calculator above does this for you.
