Silver Foil Foam Underlay 2mm (20m² Roll)

Silver Foil Foam Underlay is a 2mm white foam underlay with a silver foil layer on top. It goes under laminate and floating engineered timber floors. The foam makes the floor softer and quieter to walk on, and the foil helps stop damp coming up from the floor underneath. One roll covers 20 m².

How many rolls do I need?

Measure your room in square metres, divide by 20 and round up to a whole roll. A 45 m² area needs 3 rolls.

How to lay it

• Sweep the subfloor clean. It should be flat and dry.
• Roll the underlay out across the room, one strip beside the next.
• Butt the edges together. Don't overlap the foam, or you'll get a bump.
• Tape the joins so the foil makes one unbroken layer.
• Follow your floor's installation guide. It has the final say.
