A closer look at your floor.
Midnight Grey is real oak gone moody – a deep, dramatic grey-brown veneer that gives rooms instant gravity and edge. As a 15mm tongue & groove engineered board, it's genuine timber underfoot with the stability to stay flat and true through Australian seasons. Best in bright, generous spaces where dark floors can hold court – pair with light walls, brass and plenty of texture. Order a free sample to audition the depth in your own light.

The specifications
The details, before you decide.
- Thickness
- 15mm
This is the board's full height. Use it to plan neat joins with nearby floors and check that doors can still open. For comfort and quieter footsteps, compare the underlay and acoustic rating as well as board thickness.
- Plank size
- 1900x190mm
Each plank is 190 cm long and 19 cm wide. Longer, wider planks mean fewer joins across the room. Mark these measurements on your floor to picture the layout.
- Coverage per box
- 2.888 m²
This is the floor area that one full box covers. One square metre is a square 1 metre long and 1 metre wide. Allow extra for cuts, then round up to whole boxes. The calculator above does this for you.
- Joining system
- Tongue & Groove
One edge has a ridge that fits into a groove on the next board. It is not a click lock. Check the installation guide for how these boards must be fixed in place.
- Wear layer
- 3mm
This is the real timber layer on top of the board. Its thickness matters if the floor is ever sanded. Ask a flooring specialist first, because the board design and its condition also matter.
- Surface treatment
- Brushed UV Lacquer
Brushing brings out the timber's grain. This protective coating is hardened with UV light at the factory. It helps protect against daily wear and makes routine cleaning easier. Follow the care guide when choosing cleaners.
- Profile
- 4-Sided Micro Bevel
Each board has a tiny sloped edge. A 4-sided micro bevel puts this edge on all four sides, making a fine outline around each plank once laid.
- Package details
- Box size: 2.888m2 / 8 Boards Weight: 26kg
This lists what comes in one box, such as the number of boards and the area they cover. Where a weight is shown, it is useful for planning pickup, carrying and storage. Left and right boards, when listed, form a matching pattern.
- Acoustic rating
- AAAC: 5 Star | L'nT,w: 45 | FIIC: 61 (with 2mm foam underlay)
Tested at 5 stars for footstep noise, a useful option for apartment living. If your body corporate asks for 5 stars, submit this report for approval. It must suit your building and the planned floor and underlay setup.
- Slip rating
- P3
P3 gives more tested wet grip than P2, useful when comparing floors for kitchens, hallways and living areas. Wipe up spills promptly. Stairs and wet areas still need the right product and installation.
- Fire resistance
- CHF Value 4.2kW/m2
This shows how the floor performed in a fire test. A higher CHF number means a better result in that test. It does not mean the floor cannot burn. Your builder can check the test report for your project.
- Product type
- Engineered Oak Flooring
Engineered timber has real wood on top of a layered base. The top layer gives it its timber grain. Check the wear layer and care guide when comparing boards.
- Style
- Plank
Planks are long boards laid in rows. Think about whether you want those rows to run along or across the room. A sample helps you check the colour and surface at home.

Tongue & Groove Engineered Oak Flooring
Tongue & groove boards lock edge-to-edge for a tight, seamless and permanent floor — the traditional profile installers have trusted for generations.

What is Engineered Oak Flooring
The Midnight Grey Engineered Hybrid Floorboards add depth and sophistication with their rich, dark tones. Designed for superior stability and durability, these floors are ideal for contemporary and classic interiors alike.

A Total Thickness of 15mm
Board thickness drives how a floor feels and sounds underfoot — more body means a more solid, quieter step and better forgiveness over minor subfloor imperfections. Up top, a 3mm wear layer takes the daily knocks so the look stays protected for years.
